Wedding Cake Consultations

Thank you for your interest in us to do your wedding cake! Wedding cake prices start at $3.25 a slice for buttercream and $4.25 a slice for fondant. There is an additional charge for some designs. A popular thing right now to save money is to get a smaller display cake and kitchen sheet cakes. Sheet cakes are $2.00 a slice. You can choose any flavor (even a different one for each tier) and it will not change the price. We charge $40 for in town delivery of cakes. If you would like a more specific quote, you can email us a picture of a cake you like.

You are welcome to visit us anytime to browse our selection of model cakes and photos. To ensure that we will have time to discuss your personalized wedding/event cake, we ask that you make an appointment. You can book your consultation on our website under Wedding Cakes.

At the time of your consultation, you will have the opportunity to taste our cakes. For a complete list of flavors, please see our website www.monzubakery.com/flavors. We will need to know what flavors you would like to taste at least 48 hours in advance. We recommend going with at least 2 different flavors, one chocolate based, and one vanilla based. Most couples taste about 4-5 flavors. We do ask that you pay for the tasting cakes at the time of the consultation. They are $5.00 each flavor, which would be credited towards your deposit if you sign a contract with a minimum of a $200 order (up to 6 flavors). When you sign the contract a 50% deposit will be due. The remaining balance will be due 14 days prior to the event. Please call to make a final consultation at that time. We will review the contract and make any changes such as number of servings, colors, etc. that we need to.

If you are worried about your date being filled before your appointment, you can always stop in and put a $100 down now to make sure your date will definitely be open for you.

At your consultation, please bring with you everything you think we many need to design your perfect cake. Color samples of all the dresses, invites, pictures of flowers, etc. If you really do not know what you are looking for in a cake, my best recommendation is to check out the internet for pictures that catch your eye. Print off 5, 10, or 20 different designs and we can talk about what you like about each cake. Keep in mind that we can take any design and change the color, size, and shape.

Our formal Wedding Contracts do include a Sole Provider Agreement for desserts. This is to cover a liability for us that your desserts are coming from a licensed facility. We will make some exceptions if discussed at the consultation.

There is a minimum of a 20% cancelation fee to cover the cost of samples, any materials that needed to be purchased and our time needed to discuss and write up your order, also to compensate for the orders we may have had to turn down.
